Randy Travis moved to Tioga, Texas only recently, but the town of just 803 people is treating him like a lifelong friend. Townsfolk say the singer has been nothing but generous and humble since becoming part of the community, and they're pulling for him as he fights for his life after congestive heart failure and a stroke.

Signs have begun to pop up around town reading: "Pray for Randy Travis, One of Our Own." Video footage and interviews captured by WFAA-TV in Dallas show how the tiny town has nothing but love for a man one resident calls their 'adopted son.' Tioga is a true water tower town, with an old, slightly-dilapidated tower still standing tall within the city limits.

Travis has been in the hospital since Sunday (July 7), when he was admitted with a viral cardiomyopathy. He's since had a heart pump implanted, and more recently, brain surgery following a stroke on Wednesday night (July 10). His condition remains listed as critical, so fans, friends and fellow country stars have been sending prayers his way.

In addition to Nancy Jones' (wife of the late George Jones) visit, Travis has received messages from Keith Urban Brad Paisley and more. Kenny Rogers and actor Chuck Norris are among the celebs who have paid him personal phone calls.
