If the details of Rascal Flatts' next album were supposed to be kept secret, nobody told the bass player. Jay DeMarcus has been tweeting all morning long about when the album will be ready, who they're working with and whether or not the trio is writing their own songs for the project.

"Another day tracking with the Flatts!!! New album comes out next spring!!!" DeMarcus posted on Twitter Tuesday morning. Fans were obviously excited and curious to know more details. He was happy to respond.

While there's no working title yet, the band is writing and "producing a few of the songs ourselves this time." He went on to offer in-studio pictures with Gary LeVox, producer Dan Huff and session guitarist Tom Bukovac.

The new album will be Rascal Flatts' eighth studio album, and the last five were produced by Huff. The trio has seven dates remaining on the Flatts Fest 2011 Tour with Sara Evans. Their song 'Easy' with Natasha Bedingfield is the third single from their most recent album 'Nothing Like This.'
