'American Idol' winner Scotty McCreery and runner-up Lauren Alaina will each take a big leap forward in their country music careers as they step into the Opry circle tonight. Country musicians have truly arrived once they've played the Opry, so this is a critical coming out party of sorts for McCreery and Alaina.

The Season 10 country dream team will make their Grand Ole Opry debuts this evening, and the event begins at 7PM CT. The show will stream online (click the 'Listen Live Now' button on the top corner of that page), so if you are not in Nashville and can't catch the performances in the flesh but you need your Scotty/Lauren fix, you can still enjoy it. Ah, the wonders of technology.

The rest of tonight's lineup includes a bevy of country stars, including Josh Turner, Billy Ray Cyrus, Randy Travis and a host of others.

Additionally, McCreery and Alaina will help to support the fight against cancer in the 21st annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge on Saturday, June 11. Their participation aids the City of Hope’s life-saving research, treatment and education programs. The Celebrity Softball Challenge is an official part of the 2011 CMA Music Festival and has raised more than $2 million in its 21-year history.

McCreery has spoken openly about his baseball prowess during his interview segments on 'Idol,' so it should be a fun game for him on Saturday; he can show off his much-bandied about skills for a good cause.
