American Idol alum Scotty McCreery stopped by Fox and Friends show on Friday morning (July 31) to officially debut his new single, "Southern Belle," as a part of the All-American Concert Series.

The song, which was slated to be released to radio earlier this summer but was postponed, is a perfect, simple summer song. And while it's somewhat of a deviation from what McCreery has shared previously in his young career, it's a good fit, and he seemed confident sharing it on such a public stage.

McCreery strutted around to the beat of the drum, throwing in his own charming dance moves here and there. The crowd seemed to be having just as much fun as he was, providing reassuring applause during the length of the performance.

After debuting the new single, the platinum-selling country star partook in a short interview with the show hosts, talking about his family, tour bus and life on the road. He also graced the crowd with a performance of "Can You Feel It."

"Southern Belle" will be the first single off of McCreery's third studio album, which has not yet been announced. But after hearing this preview and seeing this performance, we're all hoping more new music is coming sooner than later from the North Carolina native.

McCreery is currently opening for Rascal Flatts on their Riot tour for the remainder of the summer.
