Three artists with ties to country music will be amongst the four celebrities to star on 'Duets,' a new ABC series that pairs amateurs with well-known singers. Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles will join Kelly Clarkson, Lionel Richie and Robin Thicke on the competition show this summer.

This is the first foray into reality television for Nettles, although she has hosted the 'CMA Country Christmas' special for the past two years. Clarkson, Richie and Thicke can currently be found as guest mentors on this season of NBC's 'The Voice.' The new ABC show will send the singers out to find a new protege each week and the hopefuls will ultimately perform in front of a live studio audience with their celebrity.

"Anyway we wanna find these singers, we can," Clarkson says in the trailer below before promising (in jest) that one of her team members will win the prize -- a recording contract with Hollywood Records.

"I think the element of performance with our partners on this show makes it different," Nettles says, adding that she just wants to have fun with her contestants and the show. "The concept of ‘Duets’ is so fresh because mentoring is active and participatory. Most of my greatest learning was from singing and playing with other performers throughout my life and career."

The 'Duets' show page on the ABC website offers singers a chance to audition for one of the four superstars, but the link is currently not working.
