At the very young age of 13, country music legend Tanya Tucker earned her first country western hit when she released 'Delta Dawn.' The song was co-written by rockabilly star Larry Collins and songwriter Alex Harvey, and it was covered by a number of artists. But Tanya Tucker's version is the best-known copy of the song.

Tucker became one of the few child stars who maintained their popularity as an adult. She has been an award-winning singer since her major label debut of this addition to the Top 100 Country Songs list. Since then, she has received CMT, CMA and ACM awards -- plus a number of other accolades, too.
