Taylor Swift has a penchant for making her fans feel special, so it should come as no surprise that the Pennsylvania-born country and pop star went out of her way to connect with a fan at the Grammys.

It all started when 20-year-old California native Jill Ralke posted that she would be at the Grammys, and hoped to see Swift there. While most celebrities would have never seen or responded to such a post, Swift commented back. "Where you gonna be? Inside? Red carpet?" Swift wrote.

"I didn't want to get my hopes up because I didn't want to be crushed," Ralke says on her blog. But Swift's publicist found Ralke and her date, and escorted them backstage to meet Swift.

“My heart was pounding so fast and I turned the corner and Taylor sprung up from her seat, and shouted ‘HEY JILL.’ THAT IS WHEN I DIED,” Ralke writes. “I told her how beautiful she looked and she said, ‘GIRL LOOK AT YOUR DRESS.’ She told me I looked great.”

The pair chatted for a few minutes and snapped two selfies before Swift had to leave.

"Taylor, I love you to the moon and back," Ralke writes. "Thanks for making my night the best night of my life."

Of course, it's hardly the only time Swift has reached out to a fan in a special way. In December, she sent special Christmas presents to several of her fans. She also sometimes doles out encouraging advice to fans on Instagram and other social media forums, and she absolutely loves meeting up with her fans whenever possible.
