Taylor Swift's role in the upcoming film adaptation of 'The Giver' has her spending lots of time with talented actors, including Jeff Bridges, who stars in the film. The songstress isn't shy about her respect of the actor, gushing over his onscreen talent.

"I learned so much. I did all my scenes with Jeff Bridges," Swift tells 'Extra' (quote via the Boot). "He is just a master. He is just incredible. Learning from someone like that on set I was just, ‘How did I get here?'"

Well, she got there after she blew away Hollywood executives who experienced her Red Tour, and was offered a supporting role in 'The Giver' alongside A-list actors Meryl Streep, Alexander Skarsgard and Katie Holmes.

Pretty impressive! Although Swift's role is small, she thinks it's perfect. “The role in the movie is a character named Rosemary. It’s the ideal situation for me because it’s a great cast, incredible movie, wonderful script, amazing director, small role," she shares.

While she shines in the music world as the focus of everyone's attention, Swift is perfectly fine taking on a supporting role for acting.

”I want to do the right thing, I’m not just going ‘Man, you know what I need right now, a starring role,’” the starlet explains. ”It would have to all line up, a lot of stars aligning for it to happen, because I live to write songs."
