On her latest album, 'Red,' Taylor Swift collaborated with a variety of songwriters and artists. One of her cohorts was Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol, and they met up to perform the product of their teamwork, 'The Last Time,' on 'The X Factor UK.'

Fans were treated to the superstar duet on Sunday (Nov. 3). It's a song that Swift doesn't normally perform, since Lightbody doesn't travel with her on the road. The songstress looked sleek and elegant in a tight black turtleneck, while her singing partner was also muted in a black suit, both of them wearing a bright red flower pinned to their shirts.

Their outfits were perfectly curated with the winter wonderland behind them, comprised of a forest of trees and dry ice that cast a gloomy (and snowy!) fog across the stage. The setting felt stark and a bit lonely -- just the way the song sounds, with its mournful and yearning harmonies. As their haunting melodies combined, the two singers' voices came together, but they stood apart until the very end, when gold confetti came raining down, making the set look like a completely magical, glittery forest.

One of the best parts of the performance came at the bridge, where Swift and Lightbody sang powerfully, "This is the last time you tell me I've got it wrong / This is the last time I say it's been you all along / This is the last time I let you in my door / This is the last time, I won't hurt you anymore."

Hopefully, this won't be 'the last time' we hear Swift and Lightbody perform this moving song together. Their combined voices create magic, and this moving performance will only have fans wanting more.
