Thomas Rhett has some new bling to add to his wall now, thanks to his latest track “Crash and Burn,” which has officially been certified Gold by the RIAA.

The recognition means the song has sold 500,000 copies already, which is impressive considering its parent album isn’t even out yet. The tune is the lead-off single for his upcoming record, Tangled Up, which drops Sept. 25, 2015.

“It seriously blows my mind to think half a million people have already bought ‘Crash,’” says Rhett about the honor. “Being out on the road with our fans all summer and getting to see them react to this song live has been incredible, and it's making me even more excited to get new music in their hands."

Rhett has earned a few plaques in the past, including one particularly impressive Double Platinum certification for “It Goes Like This,” the title track to his debut album, released in 2013 as its third single. It was co-written by Rhett’s father, Rhett Akins, and reached No. 1 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart, making it his first No. 1 hit.

Rhett has been making the ladies swoon with his laid-back style and boyish charm ever since, continuing his stream of chart-toppers with “Get Me Some of That” and “Make Me Wanna,” both No. 1 singles.

The artist is currently touring with Florida Georgia Line on their Anything Goes tour before heading out with CMT on Tour for an epic co-headlining tour with Brett Eldredge in the fall dubbed Brett Eldredge and Thomas Rhett: Suits and Boots.
