Tim McGraw was on 'Fox and Friends' this morning, and show host Steve Doocy asked him if it was true that he might run for Governor of Tennessee one day. McGraw's reply? "I think 'I'd like to run' is probably sort of a rumor. I'm from Louisiana so politics always fascinate me. It's sort of like a national pastime where I grew up. You know, you never say no to anything."

He adds, "I've got three kids, I've had a great career, this country's given me a lot of opportunities ... so if there's any point in time where I feel like I could actually help, you know, maybe that would be one thing I might do, but it would certainly be after my kids are grown and I wouldn't worry about any kind of skeletons that might pop up."

When asked if he'd like to share any of those skeletons on national TV, McGraw said, 'No, thank you. I'm a guy. We don't pull those things out until we're forced to."

A recent poll was taken in Tennessee asking people who they would vote for in the race for senator, and the country star got an impressive 28% of the votes while the current senator, Bob Corker, got 50% of the votes.  McGraw laughed and said, "I think Bob Corker knows what he's doing and I don't, so that's probably a pretty good indication of what the numbers should be."

As previously reported, the 'Just to See You Smile' singer has partnered with Outback Steakhouse's charity to give back to our men and women in uniform. The company created a special menu, and one of the items is their famous Bloomin' Onion appetizer, which is popular with a certain member of the McGraw household. McGraw laughingly said, "I have to go run 10 miles after eating one though."
