Racer-turned-country singer Tyler Williams learns a dinged up heart is more difficult to repair than a dented fender in his new music video for "Simple."

The mid-tempo heartbreaker finds the country newcomer wishing he could turn back time to fix the ill-fated events that led to his loneliness. During this music video premiere on Taste of Country, fans watch the Stone Mountain, Ga., native star opposite CMT Nashville actress Kathryn Kelly. The lonesome beach scenes were filmed in Panama City Beach, Fla., while other more metropolitan scenes were shot in Atlanta. Williams calls "Simple" his favorite song on his Good for Me album.

"This one ... was born out of a relationship that left me wondering how it got so complicated," he says. "If one of us had changed just a little, it probably could have happened."

An impromptu karaoke performance led to Williams' turn toward country music from auto racing. As a teenager, he did some stage acting and was in a rock band, but for a decade he focused on cars, becoming a winning driver on the NASCAR All-America, VRA and USAC Series circuits. Good for Me is is a seven-song EP released in January. Williams wrote or helped write more than half of them.
