Country stars shined on stage and on the red carpet at the 2012 American Music Awards on Sunday night. The ABC broadcast featured performances by Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift, and moments to celebrate for fans of Underwood, Swift, Luke Bryan and Lady Antebellum. These four artists were just a few of Nashville's best that turned heads on the AMAs red carpet.

Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher walked the red carpet, once again taking advantage of the NHL lockout to share a date night. Both looked predictably stunning, without Underwood wearing one of three dresses she'd brought for the night.

Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelley showed off a new hairstyle, borrowing from the Bieber playbook. The crimson scarf may not work for country award shows, but at the 2012 American Music Awards, he and the more traditionally-dressed Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood scored high marks.

Taylor Swift's daring gold dress was worth a second look. The current queen of country is showing more leg than she would in Nashville, but she has more than enough confidence to pull it off.

Luke Bryan and his wife, Caroline, are one of the most beautiful couples in Nashville. Both wear outfits that bring out their most flattering features, with the singer's dark suit at the 2012 AMAs contrasting his famous smile, and Caroline's dress complementing her sapphire eyes.

Florida Georgia Line is Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley. The country duo's hit song 'Cruise' is famous, but many still don't know what the pair look like. They made a good first impression at the 2012 American Music Awards.
