Blake Shelton Chooses Xenia, America Picks Dia Frampton for ‘The Voice’

Tonight was a tough episode for coach Blake Shelton on 'The Voice.' In fact, the 'Honey Bee' singer didn't want to think about the fact that he would have to "save" one of his team members, while America saved the other, meaning two of his "kids" were going home.

Shelton even told host Carson Daly that he didn't want to be reminded of the fact that he was losing two teammates. It must have been agonizing for Shelton to sit through the show before finding out who America chose, forcing him to choose someone else.

When the time finally came, Shelton lamented, "I hate this moment. I am trying to enjoy everyone's performances, but it's in the back of my mind what's about to happen. I am actually dreading it."

America selected Dia Frampton, who rocked Kanye West's 'Heartless' and turned it into a new song last week, to move on to the semi-finals. "She came out here and she deserves it," Shelton said.

He was left having to choose between Jared Blake, Xenia and Patrick Thomas, and he of course struggled with his pick. "I can't affect change with Jared Blake or Patrick Thomas like I can with Xenia, so I am going to pick Xenia," Shelton declared. It was a shocking choice that we didn't see coming, especially since Shelton let the two country dudes after his own heart go.

Despite the decision weighing heavily on his mind, Shelton was still full of one-liners, and really, did you expect anything less from the show's resident funny judge? He told Adam Levine's team member Casey Weston he was about to download her rendition of a KT Tunstall song. He also told Cee Lo he was "sick" for having the Thompson Sisters wear matching tight outfits!  Shelton finally admitted to being a fan of Cee Lo's team member Vicci Martinez, too.

"He pointed at me and said, 'Your sex is on fire' and I felt the burn," Shelton said to the big man, Nakia, who ripped through Kings of Leon's 'Sex on Fire.' He told fellow country star Curtis Grimes that he doesn’t have the nerve to slam his guitar down like Grimes did during his song. Shelton also said that you don't talk about Javier Colon's music; you buy his CDs, T-shirts and concert tickets, which was an incredibly astute assessment of that particular singer.

Dia Frampton and Xenia remain Team Blake's sole team members, and he's looking forward to working with the girls, helping them to play off each other and come out of their shells.
