Blake Shelton visited 'The Tonight Show With Jay Leno' on Wednesday night (Nov. 20), where he talked about everything from his late father's touching letter, to his crush on talk show host Hoda Kotb. He also explained why he didn't officiate Kelly Clarkson's recent wedding, something he was planning on doing earlier in 2013.

Shelton revealed that since the press found out about Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock's wedding date, the couple decided to elope instead -- and that got him off the hook. "I would rather go to the dentist," he told Leno with honesty. The singer spilled that that he's ordained through the internet and has done other weddings.

"I married my sister, and I know that sounds weird," Shelton said, laughing.

Watch video below to see Shelton talking about the touching letter his late father wrote him and his recent CMA Awards wins. Hoda Kotb also appears in the final video. She reveals that she has a crush on Shelton (she named her dog after him), and as it turns out, the feeling is mutual.

"Does he hump your leg like Blake?" Leno asked Kotb about the pup.

Shelton was mostly on the show to promote 'The Voice.' After Tuesday night's elimination episode, he's left with two singers on his team: Cole Vosbury and Ray Boudreaux.
