While his wife Miranda Lambert was picking up an American Country Award in Las Vegas on Monday (Dec. 10), Blake Shelton brought a huge dose of Christmas cheer to the semi-finals on 'The Voice.'

Shelton performed a lush version of 'White Christmas,' aided by his semi-finalists Cassadee Pope and Terry McDermott, as well as other members of Team Blake who were eliminated throughout the course of Season 3 of the hit show.

It was angelic choir of contestants providing vocal support to the country singer, as fake snow fell on the stage, dotting his dark jacket. Shelton looked totally emotional as he delivered the final bars of the song in simple, but affecting, fashion.

We can't help but think the fact that he had assembled such a strong and viable team throughout the season might have something to do with the fact that he looked so serious. With Season 3 of 'The Voice' drawing to a close, it's a reflective time.

Shelton still has two horses in this race -- and likely the best chance of winning for a second season in a row -- so besides being festive and the implicit warm and fuzzy nature of the holiday season, he has plenty of reasons to celebrate and be merry.
