The list of Taylor Swift admirers continues to get bigger and bigger. Last night in Raleigh, N.C., Bruce Springsteen surprised the country star backstage, and he even strummed a song on her guitar.

"I'll never forget when Bruce Springsteen played 'Dancing in the Dark' backstage at my show on my guitar," Swift said on her Twitter page Thursday night after the show. She also posted the above picture of her with the rock legend.

According to multiple sources with access to the backstage area, Springsteen was escorted to his seat through a curtain at stage left. He didn't take the stage with Swift, however; nor did the other celebrity in the audience. Scotty McCreery was seen both in the parking lot of the RBC Center and backstage before the show.

Springsteen's daughter Jessica reportedly attends nearby Duke University in Durham, N.C., perhaps explaining why The Boss was in Raleigh. Sources at Raleigh radio station WQDR say Springsteen was with his daughter and her friends. Swift paid tribute to him in her arm lyric for the night, using a line from 'No Surrender.' "We learned more from a 3 minute record than we ever learned in school," she scrolled in Sharpie on her left arm.

Of course, McCreery is from nearby Garner, N.C. and has been a frequent guest at local concerts. In September he showed up at a Brad Paisley show and ended up with a job opening for him. Perhaps he was angling for the same from Springsteen or Swift. It's more likely he was just looking to take in a great show.
