Blake Shelton has become a pro at coaching new talent on The Voice, churning out several up-and-comers in the country music scene from the show. And as Season 9 kicks off, he's has already added one particular hopeful who we may be seeing more from in the future: Emily Ann Roberts.

Roberts, a junior in high school, took the stage during the Blind Auditions and sang an impressive version of Lee Ann Womack’s “I Hope You Dance,” getting both Adam Levine and Shelton to turn their chairs around and beg to be her coach. After some negotiating from both stars, Roberts decided to follow her heart toward country music. The 16-year-old from Knoxville, Tenn., looked thrilled to have the opportunity to join Team Blake and embark on the journey to country stardom. Watch her full performance of “I Hope You Dance” above.

Shelton has shown he has a good ear for potential stars, as he has consistently coached country hopefuls into promising careers, including Danielle Bradbery, Cassadee Pope and Meghan Linsey. He has served as a celebrity coach on the show every season since its inception in 2011 and has won four times.
