Though his farewell tour is only a memory these days, George Strait isn't done performing for fans. The legend is is set to hit the stage at the 2014 CMA Awards on Nov. 5.

Strait's appearance marks the 24th time he's performed during Country Music's Biggest Night -- more than any other artist since the shows inception. The King of Country made his debut appearance with 'All My Exes Live in Texas' back in 1987.

The singer returns as the reigning Entertainer of the Year following a big win in 2013, and he's up for the coveted honor yet again. Of course, Strait snagging the award in 2014 wouldn't come as a huge surprise to many, given that he's already won it three times. In fact, country music's main man is the most nominated artist in the history of the awards show.

Farewell or not, Strait clearly has no intention of slowing down.

He'll be in good company when he performs at the 2014 CMAs, as Miranda Lambert, Blake SheltonKeith UrbanDierks BentleyJason AldeanTim McGraw and Kenny Chesney will also play for viewers during the show.
