Jason Aldean faced some tough competition at the 50th Annual ACM Awards, but he walked away with the Male Vocalist of the Year award.

Aldean was nominated for the award alongside Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton and Dierks Bentley.

Fellow country singer Trisha Yearwood presented Aldean with the trophy. Dressed in blue jeans and a brown leather jacket, Aldean hurried onstage to accept the award.

"This couldn't have come from somebody more special," Aldean shared. "I grew up right down the road from where Trisha Yearwood's from, and the first show I ever got to open for anybody was opening for her when I was about 16 years old. I'm really stunned. Thank you guys for letting me do this another year," he said.

This is the third year in a row that Aldean has walked away with the coveted award.

Aldean thanked his wife, Brittany, and his daughters, as well as his management team.
