Josh Kelley is preparing for the ride of his life as he joins Taylor Swift on her Speak Now Tour beginning tonight, August 18, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Kelley is one of the many revolving acts Swift has hand-chosen to open her tour that will continue on into the new year. Kelley's leg of the tour consists of 14 shows, the last being September 11 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

"I’m really, really excited about the tour," Kelley tells Taste of Country. "It’s quite an honor, and it’s going to be probably the biggest audience I’ve ever played for. Who sells the Staples Center out four nights in a row? That’s just complete madness!"

When Kelley received the news that he was one of the 10 acts picked for the opening slot of the high-profile tour, he was speechless, to say the least.

"I was overwhelmed and overjoyed," he says. "They let me know that she’s a fan of my music, which is quite an honor. My wife’s really excited because she’s a big Taylor Swift fan, too [laughs]! She was all of a sudden like a little school girl."

Following his tour with Swift, Kelley will link up with his brother, Charles Kelley and his band, Lady Antebellum, on their Own the Night Tour. The new trek kicks off in November.
