Miranda Lambert‘s new haircut is further proof that country ladies can change their signature styles and still look amazing.

Taylor Swift chopped her locks, Carrie Underwood went darker and now, the ‘Somethin’ Bad’ singer has debuted a short and completely cute new ‘do. Lambert gave everyone a look at her shortened locks and side-swept bangs on Monday night (June 30) during a party to celebrate her Platinum-crowned single ‘Automatic.’ The party was ’50s themed, and Lambert sported a short, sleek bob, pearls, pink lipstick and a frothy pink dress — girly to the max, and beautiful as always.

Her co-writers Nicolle Galyon and Natalie Hemby were also celebrated at the party, each wearing a dress similar to Lambert’s. The song is Lambert’s seventh career chart-topper.

Whether she has short tresses or long, Lambert looks comfortable and confident these days — the mark of someone who has learned to be herself in her own skin. Recently, the singer has been the talk of the town because of her weight loss — it even caught Britney Spears‘ attention.

While she has certainly shed pounds, Lambert is adamant about not letting weight define her. Apparently, she’s also not letting her hair length define her, either.
