Carrie Underwood just adopted a puppy, and now Miranda Lambert has, too. Lambert has adopted two puppies she found along the road, who have been affectionately named Virginia Bluebell and Black Betty, according to CMT. Lambert’s new puppies are the sixth and seventh rescue dogs to join her growing brood.

Taste of Country asked Blake Shelton if Lambert's ever accidentally found an animal that might not have been a stray, and he says, “Since she’ll take animals walking down the road, I’m pretty sure she’s stolen people’s pets.”

KFROG reports that in Lambert's Tishomingo, Okla. home there are four horses -- Miss Emily, Sunny Jim, Zeus Troubadour and Lucky Star; three miniature horses -- Sugar Pie, Annie and Adriana; two pot-belly pigs -- Amos and Gideon; several dogs -- Jessie and Waylon (both of whom she and her mom found abandoned on the side of the road), Delilah (rescued from the Humane Society of East Texas), Delta Dawn (found at a Sonic restaurant), Steve and Cher, and too many chickens to name.

The ‘Only Prettier” singer is well known for being involved in animal causes, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for pet shelters like the Texoma Animal Improved Living Society and her annual Cause for the Paws dinner and concert in Tyler, Texas that raises money for the Humane Society of East Texas.

Lambert tells Horse Channel that horses play an important role in her life: "When I'm riding, it clears my head and I'm able to write better music. It's always good to get away from the computer and cell phone and just enjoy being with my horses. I grew up in Texas, and my family and I went to a lot of rodeos. Later on I started performing at rodeos and my admiration for horses grew. I've always felt a great affinity for them."

As for her upcoming wedding, Lambert adds, "I'm ready for the next phase of life and for hanging out with my good ol' Oklahoma boy forever."
