Ryan Scripps has just filmed a new video for his song "U-Turn," and he's showing it to Taste of Country readers before anyone else.

Scripps is familiar to country music fans from his run on Blake Shelton's team during Season 13 of The Voice. During his time on the long-running reality singing competition, he received valuable coaching not only from Shelton, but from advisers Rascal Flatts.

"U-Turn" tells the story of a young man who has packed up his truck and is ready to blow town, until he is pulled backward by the girl he just can't stop thinking about.

"I gotta make a U-turn me on, I'm so on fire / Baby those lips don't lie, so I think that I gotta make a U-turn," he sings in the chorus.

The video underscores those sexy sentiments by showing the young lovers having some fun in the hay barn and laying together in a field, as well as shots of her dancing on a truck bed and giving him a kiss on the tractor.

“Sometimes we truly don't know what we have or how special something is until it’s gone, and the music video represents just that," Scripps says. "What I like most about the message is that it can have different meanings depending on how you portray the song. I’m really excited to release the music video and hope everyone enjoys it!”

The California native has opened for Dan & Shay, Justin Moore, Cam, Brett Young, Aaron Watson and more, and he's also had the honor of performing on the Grand Ole Opry. "U-Turn" is currently receiving airplay on his hometown country station, 95.3 KRTY in San Jose, and it's also available on iTunes, Spotify and YouTube.
