Scotty McCreery recently performed at Yahoo Sessions in conjunction with their Ram Country series. Along with his backing band, the country crooner treated fans to live renditions of some of his best tracks off of his debut album 'Clear as Day,' including his hit singles 'I Love You This Big' and 'The Trouble With Girls.'

Wearing a denim button-up and jeans, McCreery performed stripped-down versions of several 'Clear as Day' tracks. The performance felt very intimate, as McCreery was only accompanied by a few guitars and keyboards as he sang 'I Love You This Big,' 'The Trouble With Girls,' 'Water Tower Town,' and 'Dirty Dishes.'

McCreery is full-blown country star now, and it's really no wonder why. He appears so comfortable on stage, and the 18 year old looked like a seasoned pro as he led his band through the various songs. McCreery kept it simple, and the organic quality of the Yahoo Sessions sets truly let the singer's amazing vocals shine.

While visiting the Yahoo studios, McCreery also sat down for a mini interview. The 'American Idol' champ spoke about his debut LP, saying, "For me, this album is all about being me and not kicking it and being believable at the mic when I was singing the songs." He went on to say, "To do that I had to have some of those old influences and that old sound," going on to list artists like Merle Haggard and Conway Twitty as some of his major influences. "It’s just amazing for me to be the new guy, you know. I’ve described myself as being the senior in high school on 'Idol' -- top dog -- and now I'm the freshman in college here in Nashville."

If you can't get enough of Scotty McCreery, make sure you tune in to the CMA Awards on Nov. 9, where McCreery is slated to perform live.
