Listeners at US99 in Chicago got a treat recently when Kristin Chenoweth showed up flanked by two guitarists and played three songs from her upcoming 'Some Lessons Learned' album. The Broadway and television star played her current single 'I Want Somebody,' as well as a ballad called 'Fathers and Daughters' and a personality song called 'WWDD' (or 'What Would Dolly Do').

Country newcomer Kristin Chenoweth tackles Carrie Underwood's 'Lessons Learned' -- from her 2005 album, 'Some Hearts' -- in a soulful new music video. Though she's not the 'Before He Cheats' hitmaker, Chenoweth delivers everything she has on the cover rendition.

Kristin Chenoweth is well on her way to having her own career in the country music industry, as she's gearing up to release her first album. Some of country music's fans, however, were just introduced to the actress through CMT's reality singing competition 'Next Superstar' when she appeared on the first episode as the guest celebrity judge.

We weren't big fans of Kristin Chenoweth's 'I Want Somebody' when it first dropped, and that's being kind. But somehow, this quirky fun music video makes the song a little more bearable.

Actress Kristin Chenoweth's turn at country music comes with the hope that she'll be able to carry her award-winning talents from Broadway to country radio. Sadly, the only award 'I Want Somebody' will earn is a rotten tomato.
