In yet another golden example of why (semi) prominent people should probably take a minute or two to think about it before they vent their frustrations on social media, Eminem's daughter, Hailie Scott Mathers, lashed out at country-pop superstar Taylor Swift via Twitter earlier this week.

Mathers was apparently upset that Swift has been seen with Harry Styles of One Direction in the wake of her breakup with Connor Kennedy. "if @taylorswift13 is really dating the love of my life @harry_styles i will not be happy.!" she tweeted (quote via Starcrush). She then followed up with, "Dear @taylorswift13, please stop whoring around with every guy you see. We all know you're only doing it so you can make another album."

If that wasn't enough, Mathers then turned Swift's own multi-platinum words against her by posting, "I, am never, ever, everrrrr, listening to your music againnnn @taylorswift13. LIKE EVER."

The 16-year-old apparently wasn't prepared for the backlash she received from both angry Swift fans and media outlets that picked up her tweets and caused them to go viral. She later clarified, "Wow. I didnt mean for people to react to my tweet in the way that they have it was just a bit of fun! Sorry @taylorswift13 for my immaturity.”

She later clarified, "I believe I’m entitled to my own opinion, but that got out of control. I don’t understand why there are ‘news’ articles written about it!”

The Twitter account has since been deleted, but a rep for Eminem claims that the tweets did not come from Hailie, and calls the account a fake.
