Taylor Swift's 'Red' album is fast approaching three million copies sold worldwide. While that's an impressive feat in its own right, the record-breaking sales numbers are even more extraordinary given that the album was just released one month ago.

The 16-track collection has officially sold 1.8 million copies in the United States, already making it one of the best-selling albums of all of 2012. At the mid-year mark, only Adele's near diamond-selling '21' sold more than a million copies, scanning 3.6 million units.

'Red' has also topped sales charts in 42 countries worldwide, adding an additional 920,000 copies sold to its total tally. The album has earned platinum certifications in Australia and New Zealand.

Fans hoping to catch Swift perform new tracks from her fourth studio album better act quick! Tickets for her 2013 Red Tour have proven to be the hot seller leading into the holiday season. Over the weekend, the 'Begin Again' singer sold out dates at Gillette Stadium in less than five minutes -- twice. The Massachusetts venue houses more than 68,000 seats.

“I like for it to be big — as big as possible.” Swift says of her vision for the tour.

“I really want it to be something that entertains people and has them leaving the arena or the stadium going, ‘That was worth the money we spent for the ticket, that was worth waiting in line and parking the car, and filing into the arena — that was worth it!’” the 'Begin Again' singer told Taste of Country in a recent interview.

Swift has already sold out stadium shows in Los Angeles, Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, Toronto and Washington D.C.
