Season 3 of the hit NBC reality competition 'The Voice' gets underway on Monday, Sept. 10, and this year, producers have expanded the highly-anticipated premiere to three nights. The show will air on Monday from 8-10 PM ET, Tuesday (Sept. 11) from 8-9 PM ET, and the season's launch will wrap up on Wednesday (Sept. 12) from 8-9 PM ET.

The wildly popular singing competition still features all of its original celebrity coaches, including country favorite Blake Shelton, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, pop diva Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green, as well as host Carson Daly. The new season will open with the coaches performing the Rolling Stones' 'Start Me Up' before going into the blind auditions round, where coaches have to assess the talents of the auditioning singers without being able to see them. This year each team will include 16 contestants.

After each coach assembles a team, they proceed to the battle rounds, which are also a bit different this year, with judges being able to steal singers from other teams.  This season will also feature a new knockout round before finishing up with the live performance rounds that decide the eventual winner.

Shelton's Team Blake won last year, crowning Jermaine Paul as the 'Voice.' Even so, the country star has voiced frustration with the producer's decision to air back-to-back seasons of 'The Voice,' which he says makes it difficult for him to simultaneously pursue his musical career. Not that he has much to worry about - the singer is at a career high, having just received four nominations in the 2012 CMA Awards.
