Trisha Yearwood shared some good news and some bad news with her fans in a post to social media on Thursday (April 6). She'll be missing a show coming up — but that's because she's up for a big award at the upcoming Daytime Emmy Awards.

Yearwood is currently on the road with husband Garth Brooks for his giant World Tour, but she'll be missing a show in Champaign, Ill., on April 30 so that she can attend the 2017 Daytime Emmys in California. Her Food Network show, Trisha's Southern Kitchen, is nominated for Outstanding Culinary Program .

Yearwood is in good humor in the video above, which she posted to Instagram holding her rescue pup, whose name is Emmy.

"The boss has given me the night off," she jokes, adding, "I wanted do to this with my Emmy that I’m holding because I’m really happy with the one that I have. If we don’t win, we’ve already got an Emmy. And, if we do win, hopefully ... hopefully the other Emmy won’t be this heavy."

This is the second Emmy nomination for Trisha's Southern Kitchen. The program already won for Outstanding Culinary Program in 2013, tying with Best Thing I Ever Made.

Yearwood has been on the road since 2014 on Brooks' comeback tour, and the couple plan to wrap the North American leg in 2017 with a special Nashville show that has not yet been announced. After that, they say they will turn their attention to a run of dates overseas.

The 2017 Daytime Emmy Awards are set to take place at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Sunday, April 30, 2017.
