Kelly Clarkson is scheduled to appear on the new season of 'Who Do You Think You Are?,' a show which helps celebrities track their heritage, history and ancestry in order to learn about their family tree. In a new promo for the upcoming season, which launches July 23 on TLC, the 'Tie It Up' singer makes an exciting discovery…

…but we don't quite know what it is yet. "Oh my gosh, is this his picture?" the 'Tie It Up' songstress gushes in the clip when she is presented with a piece of paper. From afar, it looks like a birth certificate or some sort of official document.

Clarkson is later shown wiping away tears from her eyes, so clearly, there is some big news revealed in this episode. The songstress was spotted in Georgia earlier this year, and her visit was said to be for her participation in the episode. As the singer prepares to wed fiancé Brandon Blackstock, now is as good a time as any for her to fill in the gaps about her history or to learn things she may be curious about, since she will likely be starting a family of her own soon.

We look forward to learning more about the singer's big reveal.

Fellow country singer Trisha Yearwood is also featured in an episode of 'Who Do You Think You Are?' this season. Reba McEntire followed her lineage across the pond in 2012.
