Blake Shelton Leads Country Nominees in 2015 People’s Choice Awards

Blake Shelton is the most-nominated country artist in the upcoming 2015 People's Choice Awards.

The annual fan-voted awards recognize the most popular names from TV, movies and music. The 'Neon Light' singer is the only country artist nominated in the all-genre Favorite Male Artist category.

Taylor Swift is nominated in the all-genre Favorite Female Artist category, but as her new album is geared solely toward the pop market, she is not considered a country artist for the purposes of the People's Choice Awards and was not nominated in the category of Favorite Female Country Artist.

Shelton is also nominated for Favorite Male Country Artist, and 'The Voice' is nominated in the Favorite Competition TV Show category.

The 2015 People's Choice Awards will air on Jan. 7 on CBS at 9PM ET. Voting is now open in all categories here.
