As anticipated, NBC pulled out all the stops for the Season 3 premiere of 'The Voice.' Reunited at last, the judges -- Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Maroon 5's Adam Levine -- take on the Rolling Stones' 1981 rock classic 'Start Me Up' to kick off the festivities.

Levine proved that he can "move like Jagger," rocking out on his guitar onstage, and Shelton belted some lines from his big red chair... while Aguilera made herself comfortable on his lap during the song. As the choruses built up, all four judges joined hands to get the audience clapping, standing in a line. In the end, they were showered with glitter -- the rockin' 'Start Me Up' rendition by 'The Voice' judges was just what the doctor ordered for the show's third kickoff.

Country's own reigning CMA and ACM Male Vocalist of the Year returns to the wildly successful reality competition as the mentor to beat after taking home the top prize with protege Jermaine Paul in May. The New York native took home a $1 million recording contract and bragging rights as the best voice in all of cable television, thanks to the help of Shelton.

“My favorite thing is about going in the Blind Auditions, is that any moment, we could be hearing the next superstar," Shelton says of his prime-time hosting gig.

Season 3 of the hit NBC reality competition 'The Voice' gets underway tonight (Sept. 10), and will launch with a newly-expanded three-episode premiere. The show will air tonight from 8-10 PM ET, Tuesday (Sept. 11) from 8-9 PM ET, and the season’s kickoff will wrap up on Wednesday (Sept. 12) from 8-9 PM ET.
