So, um there may have been more of us kind of like coping with that that was not shown in the first season. >> Phil Robertson, the patriarch of the hit reality show Duck Dynasty, died on May 25th at the age of 79. He died following a battle with Alzheimer's disease and a related blood disorder. >> I realized that dead men could live again. I could either put my faith in this evolution thing where there's no hope or put my faith in the Almighty. >> Ahead of the Robertson family's new show, Deck Dynasty the Revival, Satie Robertson took the time to sit down with me and talk about the show, but also at the time, Phil's health was rapidly declining. >> Yeah, it has been a very hard journey, not going to lie. And we're we're still at a really hard place, you know. Uh it's one of those things that he has that it doesn't get better, you know. Um but I saw him well I saw him today but I saw him last week and last week as soon as I saw him he doesn't really talk very well now. Um but as soon as he saw me he looked at me and he said full strength ahead. >> You can find that full video in the description section. Today's video is going to focus on the other Robertson children, Bella and her husband Jacob and Will and his wife Abby. Um, and then we are actually currently filming season 2 still and we are filming kind of like moving into Cory and Willies for a month. It's been a few months since their grandfather has passed. No longer is he in the headlines and fans aren't talking about him. But if you've ever lost a grandparent, you know that time doesn't move as swiftly. For them, it could feel like it all happened yesterday. For Bella, that sentiment is true. especially for the public like uh this was very like big and sudden but for us we had kind of seen it coming in known for a while he was sick and all that that kind of stuff. So we've been dealing with this over the past year two two years even honestly like two or three years so um it was super hard and it's still hard but um it was not as like sudden as kind of it may have seemed to the public. Um, so it was obviously super hard, but we um we are doing so much and honestly like working up at Duck Commander has been such a blessing during this time. I mean, I'm just surrounded by his pictures all the time and some days that's harder than um than other days, but some days it's so special just to be able to see his legacy at work every single day. Um, but and actually in two weeks we're doing a big event called Duck Commander Sunday at our headquarters to um honor him and bring fans in. So that's going to be on August 31st and I'm so excited about that. That's been like my baby project for the past few months is just trying to like get this like some way for all the fans who love him so much to come and like honor him and um do some things to like be make it special. So um that's been really fun to work on and special for me. >> As for Phil's wife, Miss Kay, Bella gave a brief update there as well. She has all of her friends that she loves to, you know, eat with and all that kind of stuff. She's doing a lot better, which is great. Um, her health has been a little up and down, but she's doing really good right now. And luckily, um, uh, like back in the day, they had kind of lived far out from us, but, uh, after he passed, she moved close to us. So, we get to see her all the time. She's very close, which is really nice. Um, and I think she's like honestly it's been a special time for her to be really close to everybody. Season 2 of Duck Dynasty: The Revival is already in production. Hit that thumbs up button if you're excited about that one. All the Robertson children are married now, and this is a first goaround for most of the spouses when it comes to TV time. For Jacob, he was a little more hesitant going into it. >> Indifferent. Yeah. Like, if we're going to walk into this, like, we will. And if not, like life is good, too. So, it's okay. Honestly, it's kind of funny if I like look back at me and Bella's relationship and just like life. I feel like everything has led up to like this like kind of in a sense just like being around Willie and like filming hunting stuff like more like going into this. And then I guess like the biggest thing for me is just getting used to like being on this filming schedule like and how that works like the structure of that and just >> how that goes. Some days are long, some are short, you know? I don't know. I think getting used to having a crew. It's not like just a camera. You have like I don't know just depending on the set like 10 15 people. No. And just being comfortable >> m meeting new friends and also having like work workers with you all the time. I guess it's just a fun experience but it's a little weird awkward sometimes. >> It seems like the theme of being on someone else's schedule holds true for all the family members. >> I think the biggest thing was like our calendar. I'm such like a planner. I plan my whole day out. Um, I don't really like have to submit time to anything really. Um, and this was like a full time commitment and things change on a dime. Like we could be uh how we could have plans to go out of town one day and they could say, "Hey, we actually need y'all for a scene tomorrow." And we're like, "Oh, okay. Well, we're staying here." Like that kind of thing. Sadi told us that her husband Christian was really loving filming. Here, I I'll go on and play a clip of that. Like if you actually know us, Christian is so funny. He's so crazy. He is like, you know, the weird one. Like he's like funny, crazy, silly. But like in the public eye, I'm more that big personality, the funny crazy person. And so like I'm always the one dancing and he kind of dances with me, but he's not really like good at it. And that you see a little funny side in that, but not but he's typically like the quiet one in crowds. Like he doesn't need to be seen. He's not he does not care to be on a stage. she's totally fine to just support me. And so I think it's really cool. I thought when we did the show he might revert to that side of him like the more quiet like this is y'all's like this is your thing like I'll just kind of be here but that is not the case >> which I'm sure if you've been watching you know we've gotten to see a whole different side of him but Jacob agreed. >> He loves he is like a little kid I would say >> like he's just loving it so much. Yeah. He's having a blast. And honestly, I could have nothing could have prepared me for how much he would take on >> Yeah. >> the like fun stuff we do. We did during the time of filming was also while my grandpa was sick and everything like that. And so, I do think there was some um probably more of of us kind of dealing and coping with that. And I think that that may come in the second season more. So maybe it was like moved from the first season to the second season. I don't I think it's probably still going to be in there somewhere. But um that was a hard season of life and it was all happening kind of at the same time. So um there may have been more of us kind of like coping with that that was not shown in the first season. It's a lot of like just full of life I would say. I mean, um I I think that in this season you'll see um you know, uh our grandpa pass and kind of what we do with that, how we deal with that. You'll see birthdays and so much life happening. So, um I would just say this season 2 is just like so much full of life ups and downs and all the things. Uh Sades baby being born. >> Yeah.
