Fans cast over 700 million votes for the 2014 People's Choice Awards Wednesday night (Jan. 8), and they showed a lot of love to Taylor Swift and Tim McGraw, who were big country winners.

The People's Choice Awards -- showcasing fan favorites in movies, music and TV -- was the first awards show of the season, held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. in Los Angeles. The winners are picked solely by the public, and the people definitely spoke up about Swift and McGraw.

Swift was named Favorite Country Artist, and was up against her highly talented peers in the Band Perry, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood and Lady Antebellum.

McGraw picked up the prize for Country Music Icon, beating out other legendary country singers Alan Jackson, George Strait and Toby Keith.

Swift and McGraw were absent from the red carpet event, but Brad Paisley represented country well, performing his hit song 'The Mona Lisa,' which was a showstopper. Not only did he perform, but he also had a role in the opening monologue with People's Choice Awards hosts Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs -- and interacted with Heidi Klum. Not bad company!

Congrats to Swift and McGraw on their new gleaming awards!
