Keith Urban John Mayer and Norah Jones were pleased to have the opportunity to honor Dolly Parton at the 2011 Grammy Awards, covering her classic hit, "Jolene."

The acoustic rendition was to commemorate Parton earning the 2011 Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. Urban and Mayer both donned acoustic guitars to give the song an acoustic element that showcased the three singers' vocals.

Most Unforgettable Dolly Parton Moments Ever

The 2011 honor marked Parton's eighth Grammy Award (at the time) — her first win came in 1978 for Best Female Country Vocal Performance for her song "Here You Come Again." Parton now has 39 Grammy nominations to date.

Unfortunately, Parton couldn't be there in person to accept her prestigious award. She did, however, send a video accepting her honor.

"I just wanted to you to know how proud I am for this great honor of receiving the lifetime achievement award," she said i a pre-recorded message. "If you think I'm done you're wrong. It always makes it feel like you're a hundred, and I'm what? Ninety-eight now? Anyways, seriously I really appreciate this and I've been proud of all of my Grammys, all seven of them."

"I've had a wonderful career and I appreciate all of my Grammys ... Couldn't get away but I do thank you from the bottom of my heart," she added.

Parton will be honored again at the 2019 Grammy Awards as its MusiCares Person of the Year. That will come with another star-studded tribute from artists of all genres, including country's own Kacey Musgraves, Maren Morris and Little Big Town. Parton will also perform at the 2019 Grammys — her first musical appearance since her 2001 performance of Billy Joel’s "Travelin’ Prayer" with Nickel Creek and Brad Paisley.
