Country duo Sugarland spent their Thursday night gracing the stage of 'American Idol' for the first time in their career, performing the hit 'Stuck Like Glue' from their current album 'The Incredible Machine.'

For once this season, the twangy, country flavor we all love was brought to the stage courtesy of someone other than Scotty McCreery. Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush had the audience swaying and throwing their hands up in the air with their easy, breezy command of the stage and the beautiful construction of this song. As its title suggests, 'Stuck Like Glue' is sure to take up residence in your brain for days thanks to its sweet melody, and it certainly gave the 'Idol' hopefuls something to aspire to. To put it another way, the duo showed them how it is done in this business!

Sugarland are certainly crossing over into the pop music sphere quite a bit lately, as it was announced today that Nettles is teaming up with Rihanna at the ACMs on April 3. The unlikely duo will perform Rihanna's new song, 'California King Bed,' at the show, which airs on CBS at 8 PM ET. What an exciting way to follow up an equally thrilling 'American Idol' debut!
