Now that David Nail has scored himself his first No. 1 hit with 'Let It Rain,' he is beginning to get more recognition as an artist. Now, he's preparing to hit the road with pop-rock singer Gavin DeGraw for a mini tour kicking off in March.

David Nail was a bit lost for words on Monday afternoon (Feb. 6) as he celebrated his very first chart-topping hit, 'Let It Rain,' from ASCAP headquarters in downtown Nashville. Nail and his co-writer on 'Let It Rain,' Jonathan Singleton, were praised and recognized for their hit song that took its sweet time climbing the charts -- 11 months, to be exact.

David Nail just may be the best country vocalist that no one is talking about. The Kennett, Mo. native is unassuming -- often wearing clothes more fit for an interview at Apple than the stage of a honky tonk -- and mild-mannered. He'd get lost amongst a pack of more boisterous male singers if it weren't for his undeniable vocal abilities.

David Nail recently enjoyed an interesting fan encounter while at a Kroger grocery store. A pair of 12-year-old girls followed the singer, but they didn't request an autograph or a photo. Country radio station employees all across the country have cast their votes on who they feel should represent country music during the 2012 New Faces show to be held during next year's Country Radio Seminar (CRS) in Nashville. The votes have been tallied, and the finalists are Sunny Sweeney, David Nail, Hunter Hayes, the Eli Young Band and Thompson Square, who will all take the stage in February

Friday night was a special time for David Nail on many levels. In addition to being at Game 7 of the World Series in St. Louis in person to see his beloved Cardinals battle against the Texas Rangers, the singer also got the chance to step foot on the field where he belted out an emotion-filled rendition of 'God Bless America' during the seventh-inning stretch.
