Mamie Laverock, who is known for her role in the Hallmark series When Calls the Heart, has been placed on life support after sustaining life-threatening injuries from a tragic fall from a five-story balcony.

The 19-year-old actress' family has been providing updates on her status via a GoFundMe page.

According to the GoFundMe started by her family, on May 11, Laverock's mother, Nicole, traveled to Winnipeg to help the actress with what was described as a "medical emergency."

Her mother "was able to get there in time to save her life" and she was taken to a hospital in Winnipeg. The actress was later transferred to a hospital in Vancouver.

"Her recovery is unclear at this time, but she is alive and is showing signs of improvement," her family shared on the donation page.

However, a sad update was recently posted to the page reading, "Update: We are deeply saddened to report that on May 26th, Mamie, who has been in intensive treatment for the past two weeks, was escorted out of a secure unit of the hospital and taken up to a balcony walkway from which she fell five stories. She sustained life-threatening injuries, has undergone multiple extensive surgeries, and is currently on life support."

Hallmark Media released a statement on the tragic news, via Entertainment Tonight: "We are deeply saddened to hear the news about Mamie. As a beloved member of our When Calls the Heart community, we wish her and her family peace, comfort, and many prayers during this difficult time."

The donation list for the GoFundMe campaign includes famous Hallmark actors such as Michael Landon and the leading star of When Calls the Heart, Erin Krakow.

The star of the series shared Mamie's GoFundMe to her Instagram with the caption, "I just donated. If you have the means to do so, I hope you will too."

Johanna Newmarch shared a  link to the GoFundMe for her onscreen daughter, "I love this wonderful family so much, and my heart is broken," she captioned her May 27 post. "Such a devastating time for them and all who care deeply for sweet Mamie. Please help if you can. They need all the support they can get to make it through this nightmare. Thank you."

In addition to When Calls the Heart, Laverock has appeared in a number of other TV shows and movies, including the mystery thriller The Killing Game, A Series of Unfortunate Events, and more. Our thoughts are with Laverock and her family at this difficult time.
