Billy Dean turned to social media on Thursday (May 17) to share a song that he has written that was inspired by First Lady Melania Trump. Dean revealed "Be Best" and shared the lyrics on Facebook after performing the song at a very special luncheon.

According to a press release, Dean wrote the song in a hotel room on Monday night (May 14), the day before he was slated to attend the Congressional Club’s First Lady's Luncheon in Washington, D.C. "Be Best" takes its title from Mrs. Trump's child welness initiative. He performed the song at the luncheon the following day at the Washington Hilton Hotel, though not for Mrs. Trump herself. The First Lady ended up being hospitalized for emergency kidney surgery and had to miss the event.

Many other luminaries were on hand for lunch, however, including Second Lady Karen Pence, Candy Carson, Marie Louise Gorsuch, Susan Pompeo, Elaine Chao and more. It was a chance for Dean to celebrate not only the First Lady, but women all across America.

“The Congressional Club was created in May 1908, where it gave women a voice even before they had the right to vote,” he says.

He was accompanied by some very special guests.

“It was an honor to escort my wife Stephanie and my mom, two days before her 89th birthday, to this historical bipartisan gathering of powerful ladies where mom stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the best at the First Lady’s Luncheon," Dean states. "We pray for our First Lady’s speedy recovery from surgery."

Lee Greenwood was also on hand to perform his signature hit, "God Bless the USA." Dean performed his hits, “You Don’t Count the Cost,” “Let Them Be Little,” and “Only Here For a Little While," and he shared several posts from a special visit to the White House via social media.

Billy Dean's "Be Best" Lyrics:

I don’t know what I want to be when I grow up
But I want to be someone, someone wants to love
I just want to say to every boy and girl
Something you can do to change the world

Chorus:

Be best, be brave and kind
Be best, keep an open mind
Always take the high road every time
Be best have the biggest heart
Be best be who you are
To all of those different from the rest, be best
