Available now, Travelin’ Thru, 1967-1969: The Bootleg Series Vol. 15 showcases never-before-heard recordings from Bob Dylan’s journey to Nashville—including his cherished collaboration with Johnny Cash. This new collection includes 50 tracks on 3 CDs or 3 LPs, 48 of which are previously unreleased.

Following pivotal sessions in Nashville for Blonde on Blonde in 1966, several of Dylan’s most enduring recordings of the late 1960s were recorded there in full, including John Wesley Harding and Nashville Skyline. The sound and style of country music influenced everything from the structure of his songwriting to the way he sang.

In addition to a full studio session with Cash and the duo’s complete performance for The Johnny Cash ShowTravelin’ Thru also includes a special informal collaboration between Dylan and famed bluegrass banjo player Earl Scruggs, recorded for a PBS special that aired in 1970.
