Brad Paisley and his wife, Kimberly Williams Paisley, don't have to worry about where food for their two sons will come from, but the country power couple are clearly concerned about less fortunate parents. In an upcoming primetime special, the two will join Elmo and the 'Sesame Street' crew to explore childhood hunger.

In the promotional video below, the Paisleys stand back as Elmo learns about Lily's struggles. "Sometimes I go with my family to the food pantry," Lily says. "Elmo never even has to think about where his next meal is coming from," he says. It's a touching scene that leads to more footage of real American children explaining how difficult times can be. One little girl admits that when there's no snack, she drinks water until she feels full.

The new special airs on PBS on October 9. Previously, the show has led kids through prickly issues like how to handle a parent's job loss and how to grieve when losing a parent. A recent NPR article explains that over 16 million kids live in "food insecure" households. The Paisleys explain that one in four don't always know where food is coming from. The special should be upbeat, though, as it's laced with Paisley's uptempo music.
