In March of 2006, a waitress in Memphis, Tenn. accused Hank Williams, Jr. of lifting her off the ground in a chokehold after asking to kiss her. The 19-year-old woman filed charges, and in early April of that year Williams cut short a hunting trip to turn himself in to police.

At the time, Williams, Jr.'s publicist said that the woman was seeking an "outlandish amount of money" and only went to police after the famous country singer refused to settle. In early 2007, the case was dismissed due to lack of evidence.
