Hannah Blaylock Leaves Edens Edge
Founding member Hannah Blaylock has left country trio Edens Edge. The 'Too Good to Be True' hitmakers announced the move, saying she left "on her own accord and with much disappointment" after playing a final show with the group at the Grand Ole Opry.
Blaylock's name is never specifically mentioned in the statement at their website, causing quite a bit of a confusion for fans. Their post on Facebook says "Dean Berner & Cherrill Green of Edens Edge announce the departure of a third member…" before going through the group's nearly 10-year history. Blaylock (pictured between Berner and Green above) was the lead vocalist for the group, who signed with Big Machine Records in 2010. In September 2012, she married boyfriend Justin Wakefield.
It's not clear if Edens Edge is still with Big Machine Records. Berner and Green's statement says they "would like to personally thank (Big Machine President) Scott Borchetta for his belief and support in Edens Edge, adding that they're "forever grateful for the time spent inside the Big Machine family."
"We're literally living on the "edge" right now, as we regroup, write, and the next chapter of our band is revealed," the now-duo continues. "It's a crazy but exciting time, and we hope everyone will join us on the journey."
At the Big Machine website, Edens Edge is listed as an "archived artist."
