Netflix has swooped in to save the day the for hot dog-eating superstar Joey Chesnut.

Fans were outraged to learn Chesnut was banned from competing in Nathan's annual Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Contest, but thanks to the streaming giant they'll be able to see the champion compete in a legendary showdown.

After the competitive eating star was famously banned from Nathan's competition because of a signing a sponsorship deal with hot dog rival Impossible Foods, Netflix saved announced that they would be streaming a competition of their own between Chesnut and fellow competitive eating superstar Takeru Kobayashi.

If you follow the hot dog-eating sport, you know there is a serious "unfinished beef" between Chesnut and Kobayashi that has been going down for over a decade.

This will be an Ali vs. Frasier level face-off. No, it will not be on July 4, but the 16-time hot dog eating winner will have his shot to entertain the world once again with his gluttonous skills.

"Through all of my years in competitive eating, Kobayashi stands out as my fiercest rival," Chestnut said in a statement. "Competing against him pushed me to be so much better. I know that fans have waited a long time for another chapter of our rivalry and I can’t wait for our massive showdown live on Netflix! It’s time to give the people what they want!"

Almost 3 million people saw Chesnut take the National Hot Dog Eating Champion in 2023, so this will be a highly anticipated event and will be sure to pay off for the streaming giant.

The hot dog rockstar has won the competition every year since 2016, and was paid over a million dollars to appear at Nathan's event, according to the Post.
