Kenny Rogers is something of a silver fox in 2012, but in 1979 he was a handsome cowboy with a head full of thick, dark hair and a beard to match. The singer was known as much for his grizzly facial hair as he was for songs like 'The Gambler' and 'Lady.' Time and plastic surgery may have altered the landscape, but Rogers still commands attention with that famous sharp stare.

The singer once said he regrets having plastic surgery because the surgeon took the warmth from his eyes by tightening the lids too much. As time goes by, however, the skin stretches, so the modern day singer looks more like his pre-surgery self than he did five or 10 years ago. The bushy beard seems to be no longer en vogue, but some of us wish he'd bring it back. It's a Just for Men commercial waiting to happen.
