The feisty Miranda Lambert has always struck us as an independent woman, one who bucks tradition as much as she defies it. Um, any female who proudly hunts and has a song called 'Gun Powder and Lead' in which she sings about loading shotguns is anything but demure. Well, 'The House That Built Me' singer recently referred to herself as 'Mrs. Shelton' online, which makes us think that there's a softie lurking underneath those gorgeous blond waves and that tough girl exterior.

In a recent blog post, Shelton signed off as 'MLS,' showing she has taken hubby Blake Shelton's surname in her everyday life. She says that "As far as being Mrs. Shelton, I am loving it." Well, we can't blame her -- even if we did chuckle a little since she used McDonald's signature phrase there! Regardless, her husband is funny, cute, sarcastic, famous and talented. Why wouldn't she enjoy being his wife? The same holds true for him, of course.

In the same post, MLS talks about her work with with her all-female group Pistol Annies and her new solo single 'Baggage Claim.' She deemed it "fun to sing live" and hinted that "the video is just around the corner." In addition to gushing about life as Mrs. Shelton, the notorious dog lover encouraged her readers to "love a shelter pet."

Apparently, Blake Shelton and shelter pets are two of MLS' favorite things.
