Miranda Lambert brought her edgy song "Vice" to the Tonight Show on Thursday night (Nov. 17) and showed yet again why she’s one of country’s most revered singer-songwriters.

She was there to promote her new record, The Weight of These Wings, and performed the slow-rolling lament flawlessly from beginning to end.

The singer looked stunning as usual, with an acoustic marked by a glittery pink capo slung over her shoulder, and began the song a capella, as she did at the 2016 CMA Awards. The intro let her voice shine, showing its captivating power over the silent audience until the band kicked in. Lambert didn't miss a beat or stray from pitch at all, flowing seamlessly into the next section of the verse.

Her new release is actually a double album, with Disc 1 labeled The Nerve and Disc 2 labeled The Heart. It officially dropped Nov. 18 after the artist kept many of the details tight-lipped, revealing tidbits of information via Instagram here and there along the way. The album houses 24 songs total, including some co-writes and a duet with boyfriend Anderson East, and a cover of Danny O’Keefe’s “Covered Wagon.” Lambert recently let fans hear the second single, "We Should Be Friends," a quirky, folk-inspired tune written by Lambert alone about the type of crew she likes to hang out with.

She'll kick off her Highway Vagabond Tour in January.
