Reba’s ‘Turn On the Radio’ Packs Country Music Dance Floors in 2010
When it comes to partying, few people know how to do it as well as country music fans. That is why our friends at WGNA are bringing you the top country dance songs of 2010, in accordance to how much radio play they received. In order for a song to qualify, the song had to be released in 2010 and/or have charted in Billboard Magazine during 2010. Country dance nights are huge events in the Northeast, and country songs in general are receiving far more play at clubs than ever before. So put on your best cowboy boots and get ready to dance!
The No. 1 country dance song of 2010 was Reba McEntire's 'Turn On the Radio.' The up-tempo country beat just charted at No. 1 on Billboard's Country Songs chart last week, making it McEntire's 25th No. 1 single. This ties McEntire with Dolly Parton for the most No. 1 songs by a female artist. Coming in at No. 2 is Sugarland's irresistibly catchy 'Stuck Like Glue,' and Josh Turner's appropriately titled 'Why Don't We Just Dance' comes in at No. 3.
Some other songs that made WGNA's Top 10 are Blake Shelton and Trace Adkins' toe-tapping duet 'Hillbilly Bones,' as well as 'Rain Is a Good Thing' by Luke Bryan. Shelton comes in again at No. 6 with his ode to partying, 'All About Tonight,' while Brad Paisley's guitar-driven 'American Saturday Night' and Keith Urban's sing-a-long 'Put You in a Song' also made the cut for Top 10 spots. Jerrod Niemann, James Otto and Laura Bell Bundy also charted for their biggest 2010 singles.
