5. If she wasn't singing, she'd be teaching.
In April of 2012, Alaina became an ambassador for the Special Olympics, a group with which she's long been affiliated. The singer says she's coached teams and made the Special Olympics a priority since the sixth grade. “So I always said that if I never made it in the music business, I wanted to be a pediatrician or a special needs teacher," she tells The Boot.
Alaina has also been involved with ACM Lifting Lives' Music Camp, a week-long program for special needs individuals.
